FYI: The Nintendo 3DS XL is Available Now in North America

Nintendo’s gargantuan update to its pocket-sized, 3D-enhanced gaming device is available in North America as of this week. That’s right, you can get your giant gorilla hands on a Nintendo 3DS XL today – well, technically yesterday. You might consider picking one up — it’s been making a killing over in Japan.

With bigger screens and an even bigger attitude, the Nintendo 3DS XL is shaping up to earn Nintendo a few extra coins this Fall season. Speaking of raking in coins, New Super Mario Bros. 2 launched yesterday as well, marking the first 3DS game to truly take hold of that fantastical larger-resolution screen.

If you fancy yourself a new Mario game, you can drop some real-life coin for it either digitally or at your store of preference. After all, Nintendo’s all about options baby.

Unfortunately, you still can’t have that super awesome Pikachu Edition 3DS XL that’s exclusive to Japan. Let’s just forget about that “all about options” comment from earlier.
