Gamescom 2012: Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Delayed to 2013 on Both PS3 and Vita

The upcoming fourth entry in the Sly Cooper franchise, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, has been smacked with a saddening delay to February 2013.

Thieves in Time was (for some time) scheduled for a 2012 release on both the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, and is actually still listed as such in Sony’s official game listing. However, the end of the game’s trailer at Sony’s Gamescom 2012 press conference claims an “early 2013” launch, conversely.

In a statement to Polygon, a Sony representative clarified that “Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will be releasing in February 2013 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita,” mainly because Sony’s desire is to “ensure gamers continue to have a variety of content to enjoy after the holidays and into the New Year.”

I know some of you, like me, are saddened by this news – but hopefully the fact that the game was announced to support Cross Buy yesterday might cheer you up.
