GameKlip Straps Your Mobile Phone to a DualShock 3

Cell phone games! You play games on your cell phone, don’t you? Everyone does, and if they don’t, it’s probably because playing games on a cell phone is usually a pretty painful affair. The main issue that usually strikes is the fact that cell phones are mostly made up of touch-screen interfaces, and “virtual joysticks” are always terrible. Always.

So along comes Ryan French, the inventor of the GameKlip. As you can see in the video above, this is quite simply a device that straps a DualShock 3 controller on your cell phone. For $15. Which is amazing.

The catch, of course, is that the device is made only for Android phones, and seemingly only for a select group of Samsung Galaxy and HTC EVO phones…so if you’ve got some other kind of smartphone (or an iPhone, for instance), you’re SOL. For phone owners who haven’t rooted their devices (and thus can’t use the Sixaxis app that a wireless connection would require), you can also order a $23 version that comes with cables that you can connect between the controller and the phone.

Either way—pretty damn cool, right? I am INTERESTED.
