Grid 2 Hinted At, Official Announcement Coming Next Week

It appears that the racing game masters themselves, Codemasters, are preparing to bring to light a sequel to 2008’s Grid – a popular, slightly more realistic racing simulator.

In the above short and smokey, lens-flare packed 27-second trailer, we see…well, smoke, lens flares, and a tire or two. More importantly though, the end of the trailer closes with a logo identical to that used in the original Grid, but with a ‘two’ crammed in mid-center.

As the trailer points out, “the race returns” as of August 8, 2012 –which we’re pretty positive is the day Codemasters will officially announce the title to the public.
