Sony Outsourcing Controller Design to Fans

Yesterday, a post on the PlayStation Blog announced a new initiative from Sony, whereby they’re looking to YOU—the common gamer—to help them design the next version of the DualShock controller.

Sadly, all they’re really looking for are cosmetic suggestions for future color schemes and paint designs and whatnot…the layout and shape of the controller is still the same. What a drag! I was totally going to suggest a new design that really has the potential to win:

Anyway, the submission deadline is August 15, and you can offer up your own idea at PlayStation.Blog.Share, and you can vote on the submissions as they come in right here. Exciting.
