RE6’s Agent Hunt Mode Sounds Like a Graveyard Smash
I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m not particularly interested in Resident Evil 6. It’s nothing against the game—it just doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. That was case until, of course, I heard about “Agent Hunt” mode.
As reported by our very own Rob Smith in his hands-on preview of Resident Evil 6, Agent Hunt allows players to jump into other players’ games via the console’s internet connection. Basically, players can make their games accessible, and you can drop-in as a monster and start tearing the place up, grabbing the heroes, and trying your best to be a monster pain in the ass.
I usually really enjoy any game that makes online cooperative play a big part of the proceedings, but this sounds potentially very cool as well. Who wouldn’t want to jump into someone’s game and grief the hell out of them as a monster? And not only that, it could solve any possible AI problems posed by dumb zombies. Suddenly the monsters are more of a threat than ever…aren’t they?
Finally—I have a reason for wanting to try this game out. Well done, Capcom.
