CD Projekt Red Hiring Multiplayer Programmer for Two New RPGS

CDPRED new RPG

CD Projekt Red, the team behind The Witcher franchise, has two new games in the pipeline – both of them RPGs of vastly different flavor (one is based on Cyberpunk, the other on dark fantasy). One of those games (or both) will seemingly be receiving a multiplayer component, as the developer recently put out a call for a Multiplayer Programmer on its job website.

The job listing indicates that the individual hired would be responsible for designing and crafting multiplayer networking capabilities into CD Projekt Red’s in-house “Red Engine”, the code powering both upcoming games.

More specifically, the individual would be responsible for “creating a roadmap of changes necessary to add multiplayer to the Red Engine,” and “helping in design and implementation of multiplayer changes to existing systems.”

So which will it be: the RPG based on Cyberpunk, or the other RPG that’s based in a dark fantasy world? Perhaps it’ll be in both.
