Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Comes with 3 New Characters and Adventure
Following a countdown clock on the Baldur’s Gate website hitting zero this afternoon, new details have surfaced regarding Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition – specifically that it contains new characters, a new adventure, and will see release on September 18 for PC (with iOS, Android, and Mac ports to follow).
The “greatest roleplaying game of all time” will include new characters in the form of Rasaad yn Bashir (a Calishite Monk), Neera (a Wild Mage), and Dorn II-Khan (a half-orc Blackguard), as well as a new adventure: “The Black Pits.”
Additionally, over 400 new improvements have been made to the interface, multiplayer, core systems and cinematics. New class kits, classes, and sub races that were previously unavailable will now be fully attainable in Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition.
You can pre-order the game now for PC for the time being, but bear in mind that it will also be available for Mac OS X and iPad this September. It will also make its way to Android in the near future via Google Play.
Pro tip: If you pre-order the game for PC, you’ll receive a $2 discount off the normal $20 price tag. Notably, the game will run you $10 on iPad, given you’re willing to wait until however long after.
