Early today on his Twitter account, Robert Bowling, President of Robotoki, hinted that he had some news to reveal regarding a game announcement and the new Kickstarter-funded gaming console, Ouya.

That announcement has officially been made, and is available over on the Ouya Kickstarter page.

News is, Robotoki has committed to building an Ouya-exclusive prequel to Human Element, the zombie-apocalypse/survival game that Bowling and his team are working on for next-gen consoles for release in 2015.

This prequel is said to take place shortly after the apocalyptic event that Human Element is based on. Human Element, however, takes place several years after the aforementioned event – leaving a swell narrative gap for Robotoki to work with.

Knowing now that the first official first party game for the Ouya will be from Robotoki, who else in the development world might step up to support the console? Perhaps another already has, they’re simply keeping it hush-hush for now…
