Ratchet & Clank HD Collection Coming to North America August 28
The Ratchet & Clank Collection is already out in Europe and Australia, but North Americans have been biding their time waiting for the high definition trilogy to see release on domestic shores. The time of waiting is almost over though, as a release date for the collection has finally been announced – August 28.
The Ratchet & Clank Collection is slated for release in North America on both retail shelves and on the PSN with the singular price of $29.99. The collection includes Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal and its associated online multiplayer – all with 1080p visuals, trophy support, and 3D capability.
The package also comes with something pretty special – initial access to the PS3 demo for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. This is included in the collection as a reward to North American gamers for their “patience”, considering they’re last in line to receive their version of the game.

Newer gamers that haven’t played a single Ratchet and Clank game would probably skip on this. That being said, I remember the days when I played the first couple of Ratchet and Clank games on local multiplayer with my cousin on the ol’PS2, and then failing miserably. (I was so bad at the game that I couldn’t perform the simple jump and roll to the side in order to avoid TURRET fire. And I’m not talking about the big ones, the easiest version of turret on conquest.)
Edit: The easiest version of the turret is the small ones. So I probably won’t be picking this up at the retail store. Haven’t been there for a long time thanks to my sooped up PC with Steam and Origin.
