Mass Effect 3 Ending on WiiU Will Include Extended Cut Content

Remember all the hullabaloo about the Mass Effect 3 ending and how unsatisfied many people (apparently) were, infuriated even? Well, if you plan to play the game on Nintendo’s Wii U when it releases, you won’t have to experience the standard ending, as the downloadable “Extended Cut” content will be built into the game’s ending right on the disc.

“The extended ending is basically going to be part of the game instead,” said series producer Michael Gamble to Siliconera at last week’s Comic-Con. “You won’t have to download it.”

While the Extended Cut DLC was seemingly announced as a supplement to the standard ending, it now appears that Bioware is accepting this as more of the fixed ending to their narrative story arc. If that’s the case, it seems like a bad precedent-setter for future narrative games.

Then again, you can’t have a bunch of pissed-off consumers roaming the streets demanding changes to every product they purchase, can you?

If you’re upset about this news, try sending more cupcakes to Bioware in your unbridled rage – that apparently worked last time.

better to just avoid anything with the EA or Activision logos on them now a days, seems like less fustration and feelings of being ripped off. Capcom is one step away from that. Ubisoft, i’ll give cedit where credit is due, their always online thing is annoying but not a massive detriment if the quality of their product that keeps me going back to them we’ll wait and see if they screw up big time or not with AC3, doubt it though.

Might I suggest not discriminating on those who were unsatisfied with the ending? What can you possibly gain from it aside from making an ass out of yourself?
