Sonic Adventure 2 Coming to XBLA and PSN This Fall

After much tossing about in the rumor mill, SEGA came out at the Sonic Boom event at this weekend’s Comic-Con to announced that Sonic Adventure 2 will in fact be re-releasing this fall digitally on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

Details regarding the content and presentation of the game remain scarce, but from the recent rumors it appears that SEGA is doing a bit of up-rezzing to bring Sonic’s last generation outing up to modern-day HD standards. However, the logo shown during the announcement was the original Sonic Adventure 2 logo, which lacked any notable HD branding.

Also, does this include the content from the re-release Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, or does it simply bring over the Dreamcast release? Unfortunately, we don’t know just yet.

SEGA plans, however, to unveil more details on the port shortly.

On note of the video, SEGA did a fantastic job with the tongue-in-cheek approach to unveiling this project, very blatantly outlining the Sonic-related leaks that have happened in the past –this game being no exception.

So long as they have Chao gardens, I’ll be happy. Seriously, don’t leave those out SEGA.
