Marvel vs. Capcom Origins Excites the 14-Year-Old Inside of Me
Today, Capcom sent out a press release to announce the forthcoming availability of their most nerd-baiting classics in the form of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins. The XBLA- and PSN-available title includes two mid-1990s arcade fighters from Capcom, Marvel Super Heroes and the original Marvel vs. Capcom.
The games will feature HD graphic upgrades, and 8-player lobbies for online fighting action. The two-pack will cost $14.99/1200 Microsoft Points…and I’m inclined to buy BOTH versions so I can play it with my friends on both consoles. Because that’s how I roll. I probably won’t do it, but dang is it tempting…
Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is going to be available on XBLA and PSN this September. I can’t wait. The only one we still need is X-Men vs. Street Fighter, into which I pumped untold numbers of quarters at the local comic shop in Rego Park, New York. Holy moly, that’s basically how I spent my entire summer when I was 14. Make it happen, Capcom.
