40 New Skins Coming to Minecraft XBLA Alongside 1.7.3 Update (Updated)
For fans of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (hopefully all of you), we’ve got some sweet news regarding skins and updates to the game. First off, the 1.7.3 title update will be arriving next week and will bring with it an assortment of new features, primarily the ability to choose your own player skin in-game.
As you may know, there are currently 8 skins available in the current version of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, but your particular outfit is assigned to you based on what player you are (first, second, third, etc.), so you ultimately have little creative control over your stylish self. However, with this update, you’ll be able to select which (among the current 8) you wish to wear, even if someone else wants to wear it as well.
Additionally, the Minecraft Skin Pack 1 has been announced, which will bring with it 40 new skins for you and your friends to put on in addition to the base 8. The Skin Pack will be at a cost, but not one that’s been clarified just yet. These original skins include some familiar Xbox game-related styles, like Creeper man, ‘Splosion Man (‘Splosion Man), Trials Man (Trials Evolution), Covenant Grunt (Halo) and King.
The update and associated skin pack will be available next week.
