Nintendo Offers a Few Golden Rewards for New SMB 2 Pre-Orders

Over on MyNintendoNews, it’s been revealed that folks in the UK have quite the bonus if they pre-order New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS. When pre-ordering from GAME or Gamestation, they’ll get free gold coin cases, which can hold the game card itself or, like, coins and stuff.

After checking the usual suspects (Best Buy, Amazon, and GameStop), I only came away with one similar pre-order bonus for us gamers in the States. GameStop’s got a Gold Mario Pin for pre-ordering the game online—which means you can’t just waltz into the store and hope to get this thing.

Well? Are these cool? I kind of can’t tell. I mean, if you’re into Mario a whole lot, these are awesome, and I can see how you might even be mad that you don’t get the coin case thing in America. But at the same time, maybe some in-game items? That’d be neat. All kinds of companies do that, Nintendo. Maybe you could too? Maybe?

Ah, who cares? I’m gonna buy the shit out of this game.
