Final Fantasy 7 on PC Confirmed by Square Enix

A rumor from a few weeks ago—that Final Fantasy VII would soon be coming to PC—has been confirmed by none other than Square Enix. More eyebrows began raising when this very official-looking website was discovered, which says that gamers will be able to “enjoy the all-time RPG classic on your PC, now with a host of new online features.”

Under the “Coming Soon” tab, the site says that FF7 will be “available exclusively on the Square Enix store,” debunking earlier hopes that the game would be available via Steam. The system requirements are as follows:

Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit)
2GHz Processor or faster
1GB RAM
DirectX 9-compatible graphic card

Finally, a post on Eurogamer reveals that, yes, Square Enix has indeed confirmed that the site is legitimate, and that there will be more information released in the next day or so. So there you go! Play an old game you like on a computer now.

I seem to remember playing the demo of FF7 on PC before it was released…. So they’re finally releasing it?

They did release final fantasy 7 people but IT DOESN’T WORK WITH WINDOWS 7 OR VISTA OR XP.

There was already a PC release but they are re-releasing it to a) Square-Enix are money grubers and b) the optimization for the previous release was absolute crap.

Why the hell are they re-releasing this? unless its a remastered HD edition, which it wont be, its pointless, the original release runs fine in dosbox and it`s drm free, do you know where to find it, arrrr.
