Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Teaser Trailer is Up

Have you seen this? I woke up to an e-mail this morning telling me that the first teaser trailer for the live-action Halo 4 series that’ll be broadcast on the Machinima Prime channel was up and running. While you don’t see much in the video, there is something thrilling about seeing Master Chief in the flesh (well, in the armor), and knowing that in a few more months there’s going to be a whole lot more of this.

The five-episode series, called, Forward Unto Dawn, will start airing in October to coincide with the release of Halo 4. The videos will take “fans back to the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war.” It’ll all lead into the events of Halo 4 itself, so we’ve got some solid prequel action going here. The full trailer will debut at San Diego Comic-Con, which runs from July 12 through July 15…so if you’re going, you’re a luckier man/woman than I.

How do you feel about the forthcoming live-action series? And what are your favorite Machinima network shows, now that we’re on the subject? I’d very much like to know which ones you thought really hit the mark. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK NOW.

  1. What is the first line in the cadence song? I’ve figured out the rest. I just can’t understand the first line.

  2. You know, I think a Halo movie wouldn’t be practical anymore. I think this franchise actually works pretty well in small, bite-sized webisodes or trailers rather than a full length live action movie. I’m more psyched about this series than any movies that have been released ro announced for this year. THAT’S saying something.

  3. Epic teaser, but I can’t work out what the last line is? Is it ‘With the head of my enemy down by my feet’?

  4. ” Helljumper, Helljumper, where have you been?

Been blast into Hell and back agian.

When I die please bury me deep,

Place my MA5 down by my feet.”

  5. @archangel it goes feet first into hell then back again
