Pokemon Black and White 2 Have Release Dates

This morning, Nintendo announced the release dates of their next cock fighting simulators Pokémon games, Black Version 2 and White Version 2. Coming out for the Nintendo DS (also playable on the 3DS), the new games will be out on October 7. That day also sees the eShop release of Pokémon Dream Radar, which utilizes the 3DS’s camera and augmented reality jammies. From the press release:

“This downloadable Nintendo 3DS title allows Nintendo 3DS owners to catch their favorite Pokémon, including some very rare ones, via the Nintendo 3DS camera, motion control and augmented-reality technology, and transfer them into Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.”

Basically, you’ll get to wander around the apartment looking for hidden creatures, and then use them in the game—which is pretty damn cool. It’s also a nice added bonus for 3DS owners who won’t get to play the games in 3D.

Of course, I should also point out that I have never, ever played a Pokémon game, and I have severe doubts as to whether or not this will change anything. But the augmented reality thing is making me think a little harder about this…

I’d get it if I were you, Mr. Rubin. You could get lost and zoned into this game in a matter of minutes.

Is it too late to get Pokemon Black and White? are versions 2 going to be different much at all? B/W are the first games I’ve skipped in the Pokemon franchise, I’ve been playing since ruby.

well the whole augmented reality, albeit cool, has been around for a while now with that psp game invizimals ( pokemon knock-off) that been said its good that they at least try to varie things

Never played a Pokemon game? Wow, I guess this wouldn’t be a great starting off point due to a lot of experimentation and not a lot of refinement. Wait for the next gen on pokemon on 3DS. It will probably have a lot more polish than these games have.

they really should let the people who have a DSi instead of a 3DS also be able to use this new augmented reality thing as well. its only fair.

Haven’t played Pokemon in a while, don’t plan to play this one either. But great that it’s coming out, will keep lots of people occupied. I’m interested in reading more about how the AR will work too

Im confused can somebody help me out ok so i got pokemon white version with zekrom ok but now the black kyurem zekrom thing is on pokemon black instead of white so idk witch one to get! Can somebody help me and i thing nintendo should find a way to have your pokemon b&w versions data be transfered to b&w 2 and i hope this is actually a sequel not another one of those games where you have to start all over with a whole new guy or girl.
