Mass Effect DLC Files on “Extended Cut,” ME3 Producer Hints at Future Content
A post on Eurogamer reports that some users have discovered files for a future DLC pack within the 1.85GB Mass Effect 3 “Extended Cut” that was available yesterday. The initial discovery was posted on the BioWare Social Network, and apparently reveals a new character.
THERE ARE SPOILERS ON THE EUROGAMER POST, YOU GUYS. Click at your own risk.
Anyway, Michael Gamble, a producer on Mass Effect 3, offered up some Twitter commentary on the Extended Cut last night, and hinted at what’s to come:
“As I’ve said before, we do this for you! EC was our gift to the fans. Hope you enjoyed. Also…keep your ears open over the next little while.”
A Joystiq post compiled even more of his Tweets, in which Gamble said, “Would now be a good time to talk about how we’re doing more DLC in the future?” And then he said, “That was a trick question. We’ll save the future DLC for future chats. Don’t worry though…there’s much more.”
A few weeks ago we also reported that a Reddit user who had proved his reliability in terms of having insider knowledge of Mass Effect 3’s DLC predicted that the next content pack would be called “Earth.” No confirmation of that prediction yet…but stay tuned.
