The PC-exclusive sequel to last year’s Orcs Must Die is slated for launch on July 30, 2012 – right around the corner for all you orc-obliterating maniacs.

Orcs Must Die 2 is a whacky mix of third-person shooting and tower-defense, plus orcs of course, all tied together nicely with magic, swords, and an insane plethora of player place-able traps.

The sequel takes places directly after the ending of the first game, and will play host to more orc-style enemy types, traps, weapons, upgrades, and the biggest addition of them all – full co-op support on each and every level.

Also of note – PC players who own the first Orcs Must Die title will find themselves recipients of some “exclusive” content, courtesy of the game’s developer Robot Entertainment.

I understand pc is the preferable platform for many takers, but I like the functionality of consoles since my laptop doesn’t have a powerful enough CPU for many games. Orcs Must Die was great, but it really sucks the sequel is a pc exclusive, and they may be losing out on quit a few sales to fans of the first game.
