Marvel Vs. Capcom Art Book Announced

By Brian P Rubin | 20 June 2012 | 2 Comments

You know those crazy Marvel vs. Capcom games that all the kids like so much? Well, it turns out that UDON is working with Capcom to release a whole friggin’ art book about the series of games. It’s going to be 192 pages, and covers the twenty years of games dedicated to crossing these two franchises over for no good reason other than to beat each other up.

The book’s going to feature “complete art archive of all Marvel vs. Capcom character drawings, and rare, never-before-seen artwork, sketches, and bonus material,” including art from the games made by Capcom merely starring Marvel characters—that means Marvel Super Heroes and X-Men: Children of the Atom fighting games. That’s pretty crazy—and crazy awesome.

Oh, also, the hardcover will cost a hundred dollars. So, y’know, YIKES.

Fear not, though, because the softcover version is far more reasonably priced at…fifty dollars.

Well, you know. That’s kind of a lot of money for some art books about these wacky fighting games. I guess if you’re a Capcom fanatic, they might be up your alley. Or if you’re one of those anime fanatics.

Be sure to take a look at the images provided at the top of the post. Then do a super move and call it a day.
