Creators of The Tony Hawk Games Now Working on Call of Duty
Creator of the Tony Hawk Games, Neversoft, is now working on Call of Duty. Yes, you read that right – the folks who gave you this, this, this, and the absolutely fantastical Spider-Man game on the PS1 are now getting their hands on yet another successful Activision video game franchise.
Since we know that Treyarch is hard at work on Black Ops II, and Sledgehammer is hard at work on…well, whatever it’s working on – it’s not easy to pinpoint (at this point) what the kick-flippin’ folks at Neversoft are putting their Call of Duty-related time into.
Could it be Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, the game announced for the PS Vita by Sony at their E3 2012 press conference? It’s certainly possible, but the game is coming out this holiday season – why would we just now be hearing about Neversoft’s involvement?
To be quite honest, all we have to work with is their brief statement on the official Neversoft website:
“We have molded our team into a crack squad of eager developers ready to push the First Person Action genre in support of Activision’s Call of Duty franchise.”
Conspirators among you, lend me your thoughts…what could it possibly be?
