Miyamoto on Future Zelda 3DS Remakes
On IGN today, Nintendo’s creative guru Shigeru Miyamoto talked about the possibilities for the next Zelda release on the 3DS. What could it be?
WELL, it’ll probably be a remake:
“We haven’t quite decided yet, whether we’re going to do A Link to the Past, because there’s also the possibility of doing a remake of Majora’s Mask. This is something we’ve certainly been talking about and doing a little bit of experimenting with, to figure out which way we’re going to go.”
We’ve heard that A Link to the Past was probably coming to the system since late last year…but we’ve also heard that the 3DS will be getting an original Zelda adventure, too. In this interview from E3, Miyamoto seems to be more-or-less confirming that the remake is the way to go this time around.
What would you rather see? Majora’s Mask in 3D, or a totally 3D-ified version of Link to the Past?

STOP WITH THE REMAKES!!
Put this time and effort into something original. RE4 is an example of overly remaking a good game. It’s good at first, but do it too much and it spoils everything… No “that’s what she said” jokes. Seriously.
I’m afraid that Resident Evil 4 is a bad example. Take a look at what that had to go through. It had to be ported to the xbox 360 and had to follow it’s laws. A Zelda title however will be made by Nintendo and made the way everyone loved it just look at Ocarina of time. It was pretty much the same game as before but with reforged graphics. Majora’s mask and Oceania run on the same engine with the same character sprites. Majora’s mask will be just how you remembered it and not some crappy remake.
How much would they change a link to the past? Because it’s already been remade on GBA, its more likely that they’ll go for majora’s mask, simply because they just did OoT . However according to the timeline both A link to the Past and Majora’s masks are sequels to OoT so either could be made. I’d like to see A link to the past but they’d have to change it enough to warrant a remake, maybe make it 3D 3D not just 2D 3D if you get what i mean…

I was disappointed that the voice acting in the 3DS StarFox 64 remake sounded LESS cheesy than the original. There’s a certain charm to keeping things the way they were, but I understand if it’s marketed for a new audience that it might be the way to go. At least the Zelda games didn’t have awesomely goofy voice acting to screw up with a remake.
YES! Please make a Majora’s Mask remake!!!!! It has to be the greatest Zelda game ever, and I’ll buy it for sure!

Please make a remake of link to the past for 3D cuz it was pretty hardcore and awesome and i like to play that game with high graphics and stuff it would be awesome.
I just want to say they better make the Majora’s Mask remake or the people at Project Moonfall will go crazy destroying every thing and also Mugenite they will still have time to make a new game because for instance with OoT they outsourced it to a smaller 3rd Party video game company (I can’t remember who at the moment) and sent one or two guys to supervise development and it only took a few months. And

i can’t decide what one i want.it would be epic to see a link to the past the way we do oot but it would also b awsome to see feirce deity link shooting f***** lasers in 3-D so im pretty muchh just waiting to see what they go with.
