Fix-It Felix Jr. Previews Wreck-It Ralph’s Classic Gaming Goodness
Last week, amid the craziness that was the E3 conference, Disney released a trailer for their newest non-Pixar-made computer animated movie, Wreck-It Ralph. The trailer featured a whole bunch of actual characters from actual video games who help make Ralph and the game he stars in, Fix-It Felix, seem as though it could’ve existed alongside Pac-Man, Qbert, and the rest.
Well, on Disney’s page for the movie, you can actually play Fix-It Felix Jr. Now, I’m not sure if this is just a “junior” version of the regular game within the world of the story (like how Donkey Kong Jr. is distinct and separate from regular Donkey Kong) or if it’s just given the “junior” because it’s a flash-based mini-version of the movie’s full game. IT DOESN’T MATTER, really. What does matter, though, is that it’s actually pretty fun, and not terribly easy at all. It’s a great way to waste some time when you should be working.
Again, I’m pretty psyched about this movie. It’s a sure sign that gaming is a legitimate, bankable part of society as a whole, not just a niche industry on the fringes of cultural consciousness. Give the game a spin. What do you think?

I like the movie idea. Hope it’s well made and does well, too.
