E3 2012: List of Wii U Games Unveiled, Details Emerge on Wii-lationships

A Eurogamer post from late yesterday reveals that Wii owners will be able to transfer game-saves to their Wii U systems—though the method of these transfers isn’t yet clear. It’s also not yet known whether or not this will be available on day one of the Wii U’s existence…but it’d be kind of dumb if it wasn’t. So, yeah, they should make sure they get that squared away, huh?

This also seems to doubly confirm backwards compatibility between the Wii U and the Wii. I’m relatively sure that this was already common knowledge, but I’m not positive that it’s been officially stated one way or the other. Either way, with this news, it’s just about a sure thing, huh?

And yet another post on Eurogamer seems to have a large list of games coming out for the Wii U this holiday season. Many of these games were announced and previewed at Nintendo’s E3 conference…and in looking it over, I think we may have seen almost all of them in one way or another. Nevertheless, it doesn’t hurt to have a list, right? RIGHT.

We’re still waiting on a full list of the new games coming for the 3DS. Over at e3.nintendo.com, it says that the live stream for new 3DS games will start broadcasting at 6 p.m. Pacific time, so keep an eye out for that. We MAY have coverage of the stream as it happens…but if we don’t, we’ll have the results shortly after. Probably.

Anyway, herewith are a bunch of games for the Wii U:

So Retro was a no go?

No sir. No Retro games were announced at the conference. Kind of a drag, right? Oh, Nintendo. You dummies.

It was honestly what I was looking forward to the most. Damn, I is very disappoint.

So you’re telling me that there’s not going to be a sequel to PBR or even a better version?

I’m gonna stick to PS4 then.
