All Marathon Games Available Now For Free on iOS

Believe it or not, Bungie made other games prior to Halo, one of them being the much-loved classic, Marathon. In fact, Bungie made a total of three Marathon games over the course of the series’ lifetime, all of which are all available now for free on iOS devices.

If you own an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, you can scoop up the original Marathon, Marathon 2: Durandal, and Marathon Infinity for the low, low price of free dollars and free cents.

While the first two games have been available on iOS for some time, Marathon Infinity has just debuted on the app store, completing the availability of the trilogy on mobile Apple devices.

There is one difference with these games though. While they’re all available for free, you have the option of paying an extra $2 per game to download higher-resolution textures. If you’re not pinching pennies, you might find it’s well worth it – especially if you played these games back in the day.

Also notable: the apps are universal, meaning that one purchase unlocks the game on all of your devices so you can have it on both your iPad and iPhone (or iPod).
