After a surprising departure from Infinity Ward in late March to start his own gaming company Robotoki, Robert Bowling has been hard at work on a new game with a new team. With only days before E3 kicks off, they’re dropping the name and the first details. They’ve dubbed it Human Element, and it will arrive on next-generation consoles, the PC, mobile phones and tablets in the distant year of 2015.

Dropping the details in an interview with Game Informer, Bowling mentioned that the main objective backing Human Element is survival. “Their greatest strength is the fear that [zombies] instill in us, the survivors, that unreasonable fear. Unreasonable fear that leads us to do unreasonable things to survive,” he mentioned.

The game’s character creation functionality will allow you to select a character class among three types: Action, Intelligence, and Stealth. It can be combined with one of three identities: Survive Alone, Survive with a Partner, and Survive with a Young Child.

“How you choose to start in the world will determine how you can engage and impacts the scenarios you will be presented with on a physical and morality level.”

The upcoming July issue of Game Informer will contain a four-page article on Bowling and Human Element, including some never-before-seen pieces of art. If you subscribe to the magazine, start checking your mailboxes next week – otherwise known as E3 week.

You’re going to have a busy week next week.
