Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend Event Officially Announced

A post on ArenaNet’s blog today officially announced that next weekend will see the second Beta Weekend Event for Guild Wars 2. The event will run from Friday June 8 at noon Pacific until Sunday June 10, 11:59 p.m. The news comes relatively shortly after we’d learned that the game’s second beta test event would not be happening during Memorial Day Weekend (which, dontcha know, just ended).

According to the post, which was written by Guild Wars 2’s lead producer, Chris Whiteside, any characters built and used in the previous beta test event haven’t been deleted, can be used in this latest test.

“This means that enterprising players with characters level 35 or higher will be able to test their mettle against the explorable version of the Ascalonian Catacombs dungeon,” he writes. I assume that means something to people who’ve played this game. Moving on.

In order to get in on the event and get a beta key, Whiteside advises Guild Wars fans to follow ArenaNet on Twitter and Facebook. Though, I assume if you’re hoping for a key, you’re probably already doing that. So BAM!
