X-COM (The Shooter) Delayed Into 2013, Enemy Unknown Still A-OK

With two X-COM games on the horizon, it’s ever so easy to get them mixed up, especially when one of them gets delayed – which actually just happened. The shooter X-COM (super specific title right?) has been delayed into the first quarter of 2013.

This news comes out of Take-Two’s latest earnings report, where the game was given a release window of “fiscal year 2014”, essentially putting it anywhere between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.

X-COM: Enemy Unknown, the strategy game mind you, is still slated for an October 9, 2012 release. So if you’re looking forward to commandeering units with some sweet turn-based action, you won’t have to wait much more.

Though, if you’ve got an itchy trigger finger and just so happen to enjoy the universe of X-COM, looks like you’ll be twiddling your thumbs in waiting just a little bit longer.

Enjoy this cat GIF while you wait:

Maybe if we’re lucky, it will be cancelled altogether!
