Major League Baseball 2K Series Ending
Apparently Take-Two is planning on not renewing their contract with Major League Baseball, a post on Kotaku reveals. In a recent investor conference call, Take-Two didn’t discuss any Major League Baseball 2K titles in the pipeline for the next year. When pressed for a confirmation regarding the game’s probable cancelation, Take-Two offered a statement:
“Our legacy Major League Baseball agreement will sunset in fiscal 2013. MLB 2K12 is our last offering under that agreement. At this time, we have no further comment.”
According to the post, the contract constituted a $30 million loss annually for the company sover the last seven years, since the series never found the kind of success that the Madden or even FIFA games had for their respective fans.
Shame. Hopefully we’ll hear soon that MLB will make a deal with a different company for some baseball goodness.
Also: let’s go Mets.

This is sad, no MLB maybe for 360 owners? Hopefully someone else will step in, like EA bringing back MVP Baseball.
What… People actually buy these sports games? Let alone play them?
