UPDATED: Amazon’s Pre-Order Bonus for LEGO Batman 2 Offers More Heroes

A post on Kotaku reveals that there are two different DLC character packs that are going to be available to gamers. In the villain-focused pack, there will be playable versions of Bizarro, Gorilla Grodd, Black Manta, Captain Cold, and Black Adam, while the hero-focused pack features Nightwing, Katana, Damian Wayne, Shazam, and Zatanna. Wow!

So far, the heroes have shown up in the US on Amazon, while the villains haven’t been revealed in this part of the world. For international gamers, though, the villains have been spotted at EB Games Austraila. So far, no official word on these pre-order bonuses has been offered via press release, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for anything that comes our way. Woo!

I am officially excited about this game. So far, we’ve got Batman and Robin (natch), but also the Flash, Green Lantern, Superman, and Wonder Woman, and probably a few others they haven’t revealed yet (and even if they don’t, still plenty of awesome characters). Throw in Aquaman, and we’ve got a full-on Superfriends/Justice League thing happening.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is coming out for just about every platform on June 22 (a slight delay from its previous date of June 19): PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Vita, Wii, 3DS and DS. PHEW!

Can’t wait.
