According to a post on Massively from yesterday, a new social game based in Facebook with the Game of Thrones license is on its way. So if you somehow didn’t enjoy the console game Atlus released recently, maybe this will tickle your fancy instead.

The game’s being developed by Disruptor Beam, and “mixes political and sexual intrigue as seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros.”

Here’s the official description of what you’ll do in the game:

“Players will claim their birthright by choosing which of the great houses they’ll swear allegiance to, securing their holdings, developing their lands and personal reputation, and assigning sworn swords to quests–while forging alliances with new friends and much more.”

Eh. Okay. Social games. I tried getting into the Marvel Avengers Alliance social game on Facebook a month or so ago, and the whole thing just made me so bored. That’s my problem, though—my friends really dig it. I have no doubt that a whole new bunch of nerds is ready to get all throney with it.

No release date has been announced just yet, but the press release explains that we’ll hear more in the “coming months,” which means we probably won’t see anything until at least the Fall.

Does this have you excited or interested? Do people still like Facebook games? Does anyone still use Google+?

My opinion is Google+ is better than facebook by a billion times over but since facebook is so big compared to Google+, it seems insignificant.

++++++++1 to that. I hate playing games on Facebook but I’m a Bejeweled fiend on G+.

That said, it would be awesome if through Facebook you could send lewd proposals to your siblings in the game.
