In “well this is cool to me but not necessarily all of you” news, more rumors are pouring out onto the Internet regarding the final version of the Nintendo Wii U controller, with sources stating that it’ll not only have analog sticks as this weekend’s rumor indicated, but they’ll be clickable as well.

This comes from “a source close to” UK trade publication MCV, who was told that the recently tweeted Wii U controller will house clickable analog sticks similar to those found on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

This would be a welcome new feature for a Nintendo controller, as neither the Wii, GameCube, or N64 (being the only analog stick home consoles) housed clickable sticks.

Notably, E3 is right around the corner – so we’ll know for sure then. But until that press conference kicks off, it’s speculation city up in here.

Whatever puts the Wii U tablet closer to a normal controller is a-OK by me.

I find it amusing that we work in a world where clickable joysticks are actually newsworthy. That blows my mind. Well, time to go back to ignoring the world’s problems…
