Telltale’s Walking Dead Sells over a Million Copies in Two Weeks
The Walking Dead’s episodic video game adaptation from Telltale has sold over a million copies in its first two weeks, Joystiq reported yesterday.
Said the company’s CEO, Dan Connors (who is not married to Roseanne):
“The most exciting aspect of getting off to such a great start is that this is just the beginning of the five episode series. The Walking Dead fans are going to experience some really great moments in the months ahead that are uniquely influenced by the choices they make throughout the season.”
The next episode is scheduled to hit in June, though there’s sure to be some kind of drop-off between this month’s first episode and the next one. According to the post, the million sales figure combines episode one sales along with “season pass” sales, which offers gamers all five episodes at once. Even still, it’s a pretty impressive figure, and is quite a coup for Telltale. Well done, you shambling, brain-eating drama queens.
