Sly Cooper Thieves in Time Also Releasing on Vita
Sanzaru Games, the developer who packaged and refreshed the first three Sly Cooper games into an HD collection, has announced alongside Sony that Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will additionally launch on the PS Vita right alongside the PlayStation 3 version.
Aside from being portable, the PlayStation Vita version of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will also be cross-save compatible with the console version, meaning that you can pick up where you left off on either platform. Start playing Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (Sly Cooper: TIT, tehe) on your morning commute to work, and then continue playing when you arrive home – snazzy right?
There will be additional features specific to the Vita version as well, with augmentations like steering arrows into your targets using the tilt functionality courtesy of the built in gyroscope and accelerometers. Other features incorporate use of the front and rear touchscreens on the Vita.
Other than that, the two games will be pretty much the same. Sly Cooper: TIT will arrive on store shelves this Fall for both systems.
However, only one question remains: will gamers have access to both versions with only one purchase or will they have to buy both if they want to make use of the cross-save system?
Sony has previously detailed such functionality for games like MotorStorm RC, Hustle Kings, and Top Darts, in that the purchase of either the Vita or PS3 version allows you access to both versions.
