CCP Games announced today that they’re slowly sliding open the flood gates – in that they’re allowing players to register for the slightly-more-open beta for their upcoming free-to-play FPS, Dust 514.

Players can register for an invite via the game’s official website, and those selected will receive an email invitation soon about how to access the beta. The closed beta has already been tested by thousands of players, and CCP is ready for more – so go give em’ some love.

Additionally, if you don’t feel like going to a web page but subsequently did have the time to attend the Eve Fanfest convention in Iceland this past March, you’ll be receiving an invite too, so don’t worry.

Dust 514 is that one F2P shooter you may have heard of that ties its events in with those occurring in Eve Online, where players can affect the outcome and happenings in each game. A rad concept that I hope gets executed well.

CCP Games has mentioned that they’ll have more to show off at E3 next month, so keep those eyes and ears at the ready folks.
