Diablo III Cow Level Discovered, Lacks Cows

The first of what I assume will be many easter eggs in Diablo III has been discovered, and is probably the greatest tongue-in-cheek joke that Blizzard has ever made. Hearkening the cow level from Diablo II, players can access an alternate dimension named Whimsyshire that’s filled with rainbows, pots of gold, cheerful flowers, and Diablo piñatas.

For the unfamiliar, this is a reference to the early days of Diablo III when fans reacted negatively to the game’s look, claiming that it was too colorful and vibrant for the bleak, hardcore world  of Diablo. Blizzard even made a shirt acknowledging fan’s concerns:
