Criterion Working on PlayStation Vita Title?

Criterion, developer of the Burnout franchise and 2010′s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, is reportedly working on a title for the PlayStation Vita.

In a job listing for the company spotted by Superannuation, the post detailed the dev’s need for a software engineer that could help in “optimizing and tuning the game resource system for the PS Vita”.

Apparently catching wind of the minor slip, the listing has since changed to read “optimizing and tuning the game resource system for other platforms.”

Not counting the release of the paradigm-shifting Burnout Crash on Xbox Live Arcade, the studio’s last project was the immensely fun Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit almost two years ago. With that said, it would be nice to hear what the folks are up to at the UK-based studio..

With E3 on the horizon, hopes are high to hear more from the folks that made racking up crash dollars so dang satisfying.
