Amazon Lists Nintendo Wii U and Several Games

By Landon Robinson | 16 May 2012 | 2 Comments

Released on Amazon today was the official product page for Nintendo’s upcoming tablet/motion-based video game console, the Wii U. The lengthy page includes a bunch of information we already know, but also confirms some previously rumored launch titles.

About halfway through the description of the system and its hardware, the focus switches to software, where the following list of games is displayed, supposedly a sample of launch titles for the system:

  • New Super Mario Bros. Mii
  •  Darksiders II
  •  DiRT
  •  Aliens Colonial Marines
  •  Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online
  •  Metro Last Light
  •  Tekken
  •  Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge (working title)
  •  And Nintendo Mii-based software yet to be confirmed

Apparently, these are just “a few that players can expect” at launch.

In addition, some slick photos of the system in use were posted to the product page for all to view, and we’ve included them in a super sweet photo gallery for you to enjoy below.

Nintendo has an interesting Wii U-themed show lined up for us all at E3 this year, and we’re sure we’ll get a broader look at some of the titles touched on in the Amazon listing when the show rolls around in June.

Get a bag of popcorn readers, it’s pre-E3 “tornado of rumors” time — and it’s only going to get more interesting from here.

That Ghost Recon Online post looks a little strange… Could that be a typo of could GRO actually play on the wii u?

Wasn’t Metro Last Light somewhat delayed to 2013?
