Before you is the official box cover art for Halo 4 from 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios.

This came to fruition after several puzzle pieces that make up the box art were sent out to Xbox Live members through email, and then put together by the community at large, but posted in full over at NeoGaf, and quite quickly.

Halo 4 is set to launch on November 6, 2012. It marks developer Bungie’s departure from the series it created with the launch of the original Xbox system back in 2001, nearly 11 years ago.

343 Industries is new and at the helm of this project, attempting to deliver an all-new Halo experience that they hope fans and newcomers alike will enjoy.

We’ve seen a taste of the visuals, learned a tidbit about the weapons, and even heard a sample of the fully orchestrated score — and now we have killer box art to top it off.

What will 343i and Microsoft unveil next? You can put money on E3, coming up in just a few short weeks.

Also this looks plain awesome, but move the title up to the top, preferable with the O line up with the requiem portal.

It’s so beautiful. Is it sad that I already made this my wallpaper?

Hay, as long as Greg Bears keeps the “Ancient Evil” a mystery until I pick up and play the game, I’m a happy camper. Though I do hope my crazy conspiracy theories about the Precursors(God) creating a new Flood to judge Humanity because the last Flood was used to judge the Forerunners(Jews) is true. I mean Greg really seems to like the idea of continuing the antediluvian and Crusades metaphors that Jason Jones set up with 2 and 3.
