Is this Leaked Video Footage from Beyond Good & Evil 2?

According to a comment by UnseenResurf, the YouTube user who uploaded the above video today, “What you’re seeing here is a 2009 demo [of Beyond Good & Evil 2] that runs on PS3/360 hardware.” We had some news about the Ubisoft-developed game the other day that purports it’s still in production, but that it won’t come out for the current generation of consoles.

As it turns out, there’s a number of videos that allegedly depict the game, all of which were posted together today on Unseen64, an Italy-based site devoted to betas and cancelled games. There’s also a ton of screens, too.

    I think it’s legit, too much effort for someone to fake this stuff. And I am for to have super interest because Beyond Good and Evil 1 was amazing.

    It would be weird to play a Micheal Ancel game that doesn’t have a acid tripping setting, atmosphere, or art style ie Rayman. But at the same time I’m sure he would incorporate photorealism in his own unique way.

    Legit? I’d say the jury’s still out on that. Of interest? FUK yea.

    Also the song in the first vid brings back some awesome memories. It was insanely popular when I was growing up =)

    it would be a shame if this game came only on consoles at it looks extremly well done and looks to support graphics that a pc and ps3 can handle, the xbox on the other hand is out of luck. That being said I get the feeling that this is going to be a launch title on the new consoles to get people to buy them and that it won’t be coming out on the PC at all a tactic used way to often it seems.

    I also get the feeling that the new console market is not going to do well if all the rumors prove to be true as well as they get priced accordingly, due to the recession peoplce have to prioritize where their money goes.
