Diablo 3 Animated Prequel Video ‘Wrath’ Released

By Landon Robinson | 09 May 2012 | 4 Comments

It’s finally here…well almost. Diablo 3 is set to launch on Tuesday, May 15 – next week if you’re the only person on the planet not keeping track. After years (and I mean years) of waiting, we’ll finally have the next Diablo game in our grubby, Dorito dust-covered hands.

To properly prepare us for the assault on our free-time that Diablo 3 most certainly will be, Blizzard has released a prequel video in the form of an animated short. As their website indicates, the narrative explored in this short video details the “eternal conflict between angels and demons”, a raging battle that’s been going on for the better part of…well, forever.

The video was made in a partnership between director Peter Chung and renowned animation studio Titmouse, who’ve taken the battle between the light and dark and crafted it into magical video gold.

Enjoy folks; I’ll see you at the midnight launch.

Unless you pre-ordered the game digitally, in which case, I’ll just hang out with Lawrence instead. He can fill me in on what’s happening in the virtual-digital sports world, thing.
