Blizzard Mentions “Arcade” Feature in Heart of the Swarm
Inside a swamp of numbers and Call of Duty talk, Blizzard President Mike Morhaime mentioned an “Arcade” feature that will be included in StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm. He didn’t pause to explain what the feature will be, but mentioned that Blizzard is working with map creators in the community to create content.
My guess is that it will be a featured home for the custom games that have popped out of the original StarCraft II. Auir Chef, StarCraft Master, StarCraft DotA, so on and so forth. Separating out and featuring the inventive custom maps is a great idea — that’s how we got all these damn DotA knockoffs nowadays.
Either way, it’s also great to see that Blizzard isn’t just treating Heart of the Swarm like a standard expansion with balance tweaks and more units.

Blizzard mentioned this a long time ago at Blizzcon. Arcade is the new name for custom games and will have a larger page rather than a small unoticable button in the bottom right hand corner of multiplayer.
