The Playstation portable devices have always felt like a budget one-generation-old-but-in-your-hands-so-we-think-its-okay carbon Playstation home console.

I got a PSP the day it came out thinking it would be great but the games were all uninspired carbon copies of their Playstation home console big brothers and I'm not going to buy into mediocre software just because I have the hardware, nor do I have any desire to buy or even play said games.

I got a DS the day it came out and from the get go(although the launch line was kind of lacking) I had software that was specifically for and utilising the DS hardware, it felt like it's own entity and thus for the years following I paid for and used the software. It never felt like a carbon copy of it's big brother the Wii, they were both their own individual entity and both required and justified their own individual attention. Sony completely misses this and it's why they are and always have been losing the handheld battle.

The software does matter. Can you imagine when the vita gets games like kingdom hearts, god of war, final fantasy, resident evil and more etc...Most importantly, the vita needs exclusives that arent and will not be coming to ps3 or more so more legitimate cross play games.Ever more so, we need more remote play games.I dont think they realize what they did when they showed off killzone and lbp2 via vita remote play...its like a major tease but would surely sale some vitas.
