Elder Scrolls Online Gets an Official Trailer, Game Informer Details Leaked

The brand new trailer for Elder Scrolls Online was just released, just now, and, as you can see, is at the top of the post…but that’s not all…

This morning, before the trailer above was even posted, the gaming web is all a-flutter with leaked details and images from Game Informer’s coverage of Elder Scrolls Online, which was formally announced only yesterday. Images and screenshots have found their way online, while a NeoGAF forum poster created a massive bulleted list with details gleaned from GI’s forthcoming cover story.

There are way, way too many details to list here, but apparently one of the main story hooks is that the player’s soul has been stolen by the game’s main antagonist, Molag Bal, and that the player is on a quest to get his or her soul back from the villain—which explains how players will be able to die and come back to life so many times, in the MMO.

In addition, the post notes that it will take about 120 hours of gameplay to hit the level cap, and that the game world will include “most of Tamriel including Skyrim, Morrowind, Summerset Isle, and Elseweyr.” In addition, there’s going to be a lot of territory purposely left out, so as to allow Zenimax Online to offer those areas up as expansion content down the road.

Also important: probably no dragons. I know, right?
