There’s a new Steam beta client available on desktop, mobile, and app versions of the service. Among the highlighted features is the ability to begin downloading your games remotely – meaning you no longer have to wait to get home to queue up your Steam downloads.

Head to the app, site, or regular Steam client and find your games library. Once there, find a game with the arrow icon beside it. Give the icon a tap to begin downloading the associated game. If there is no icon present, the game is already present on your hard drive.

I’ve already given it a try on my iPhone, and thus far it works pretty swell. Swing on over to the Steam forums to find out how you can access these new features in the beta update.

Now I can start downloading (insert game title here) while I’m sitting at the (insert place where waiting occurs (DMV, Dentist Office, etc)) with no hassle!

Neat!
