Announced by Rockstar Games today was the summer of multiplayer DLC being prepped for Max Payne 3. With no single-player expansions announced or even hinted at, it seems that Rockstar is going full steam on multiplayer – at least for the summer and fall months.

Below you’ll find the month-to-month DLC schedule for the game. You can purchase the DLC in one of two ways: individually or with a Rockstar Pass.

In short, the pass is a one-time purchase item that will allow you access to all current and future downloadable content for Max Payne 3.

“The Rockstar Pass grants you access to download all upcoming Max Payne 3 DLC and will be available for 2400 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE), or $29.99 (PlayStation Network and PC) – over a 35% discount compared to purchasing the content individually.

The Rockstar Pass can be pre-ordered for Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network from Best Buy or GameStop in the United States (or pre-ordered for PSN directly from the PlayStation Store).”

For the first time in video game industry history, you can not only pre-order the game – you can pre-order the Rockstar Pass. What a day and age we live in, huh?

June 2012

  • Local Justice Map Pack

This pack includes the Police Precinct map for Gang Wars, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Payne Killer multiplayer modes. It also comes with two extra maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Payne Killer, some new precinct-themed multiplayer avatar items, and multiplayer challenges.

Summer 2012

  • Disorganized Crime Map Pack
  • Deathmatch Made in Heaven Mode Pack
  • Hostage Negotiation Map Pack
  • New York Minute Co-Op Pack

Fall 2012

  • Painful Memories Map Pack
  • Trickle Down Economics Map Pack

Is it just me, or is Max Payne 3 trying to “OUT-Map Pack” Call of Duty? This sucker’s getting more post-launch support than a NASA rocket.

But like all great single player games, there seems to be a lack of singleplayer dlc :(
