Possible Half-Life 3 Things Are Thinging on the Interwebs

So, my buddy Bill is pretty UP WITH THE PC GAMEZ in ways that I am definitively not. A few minutes ago, he sent me the above image, telling me, “The IGN thing is a quote from Half-Life 2.” Fair enough, I say. He speculates that it could have something to do with the oft-discussed Half-Life 3. It’s possible, I think. I show Lawrence, he says, “HMMMMM.”

Then Bill sends me this link: http://orange.half-life3.com/apache2-default/

You click it, it takes you to a blank page that says “It works!” It’s true. It does.

I say, what is this thing, Bill. He says that, according to Whois, Valve owns the domain for half-life3.com. He’s right!

Bill also says of the above URL, “the /apache2-default/ part is something that goes in when you first install apache, which is something that makes websites work.” I thank him for telling me this, because that is something I definitely didn’t know. Bill’s a smart dude.

Bill also tells me that all this unfolded over on Reddit.

So what does all this mean? Well, the website for the Orange Box that includes Half-Life 2 includes the word “orange” in the URL, as does the above link. So, something is happening with Half-Life 3. Maybe. Possibly.

Or, you know, maybe not. This could all pretty much be nothing. So there’s that, too.

My soul burst into tears of joy , life is full of joy again for me .I would cry in tears of man if I were able to . Since my eyes are like a desert dry and barren from the crying at nights , waiting for Half-Life:episode3/Half-Life3.But tonight I will sleep at peace because of the news I found on insidegamingdaily.com , the coming of a new half-life is at hand.Everyone rejoice for this will be a grand game .But if those are lies , there will be no future for me.

    If I were in a position to confirm Half-Life 3, it’d be an Alyx dating sim.
    
    Just to add some things Reddit (and I, to some degree) found out while dinking around this afternoon: all of the half-life2.com sites (orange, black, ep2, etc) ‘work’ on half-life3.com. So someone probably just copied the configuration from one site to the other. After doing some research, this has been happening for at least two months.
    
    A volunteer mod on the Steam forums says s/he spoke with the person running the Steam_Support twitter feed, and it’s just a coincidence.

      I bet its for the meet the pyro video and this is just a massive troll. That quote COULD be talking about half life 3, or it could just be them trolling and talking about the pyro burning everything down. I would be pleasantly surprised if it was half-life 3 but with valve and their shenanigans, you can never know
