Pikmin 2 Re-Releasing on Nintendo Wii with Motion Controls

In 2009, the Nintendo GameCube classic Pikmin was re-released with motion controls for the Nintendo Wii, entitled New Play Control! Pikmin. Now, Nintendo is doing the same with Pikmin 2 – adding motion controls and putting it back on store shelves.

New Play Control! Pikmin 2 will be arriving on the Wii before the end of this year in North America, and will allow you to control Captain Olimar and his plucked Pikmin buddies with a new control scheme – the Wii remote and Nunchuck.

Seeing as how I’ll be picking this up on day one, this will mark the fourth copy of a Pikmin game for my collection, meaning I’ll have paid for each Pikmin title twice by the time this releases.

Sure, money will be unnecessarily spent, but at least I’ll have something to play until Pikmin 3 comes out.
