Halo 4 Live-Action Series to Debut on Machinima Network
This morning, Variety revealed that Microsoft has partnered with Machinima (that’s us!) on a new live-action series based on November 6’s Halo 4, currently being developed by 343 Industries.
Matt McCloskey, director of franchise business management at 343 Industries, told Variety that the series, called “Forward Unto Dawn,” will be a way “to make ‘Halo’ accessible for people who haven’t played the games,” and that “we wanted to do something unique from a narrative standpoint that’s big in scale.”
Frank O’Connor, 343 Industries’ franchise development director said, “We needed a way to ensure there was a way for people to get onboard this universe without feeling intimidated. [This is] an origin story that teaches you about a lot of different facets of the universe.”
We can’t tell you too much more about the series at this point, unfortunately—but as soon as we can, we TOTALLY WILL.
Until then, though, please enjoy this photo from backstage on the shoot:
Yeah. That’s totally me chilling out by craft services. Master Chief and I were gonna go hit the clubs later and cruise for some chicks. It’s how we roll.
